What is MyWhitchurch.co.uk?

The site was an idea after sometime in 2005, there was a path laid down right across Whitchurch Common. The residents were unhappy and Councillor Sophie Howe flew into action and had the path removed and the grass put back, almost immediately. Brilliant! But what a waste of time and more importantly money. I thought having an open forum would keep all lines of communication active and hopefully avoid such mis-haps and help improve the community we live in.

Residents
The residents of Whitchurch (and any surrounding suburbs) can use the forum to post any topics they wish to discuss with others. There are also areas for neighbourhood watch, items for sale and a notice board for anything going on in the area.

Business
Local businesses also have a private area of the forum to discuss local trading and a public area where they can advertise any special offers or sales...all free of charge. We also encourage entrepreneurs and new starters to showcase their business.

Teens
A lot of the people see teenagers as a serious problem within the village, and hopefully this can be addressed by adults and teens talking together. Teens are not the problem, but a lack of organised facilites for them is just the tip of the ice berg....

Clubs & Groups
Sports clubs, churches, youth groups (infact any kind of organisation) can have their own seperate area of the website providing as a central area which can be updated by the groups users at any time.

Thankyou for coming along, please take the time to have a browse of the forum and come back soon. If you wish to register, it takes 1 min and no sensitive/private information is required.
