It was a sad day this past Thursday as it was the last day on duty for our resident PCSO Christina Watkins who is retiring. Many people came to say farewell at the Cuppa with a Coppa event and I think it goes without saying that pretty much everyone in the village must know Chris by face if not by name. She’s been a fantastic asset and has made herself friends with residents young and old, village traders, school staff and pupils and anyone else that happened to cross her path. Read more

Beware of Bens Gutters

A few people have reported having the hand written note through the door recently from Bens Gutters. I’ve had one this morning and I know they’ve been in Rhiwbina recently also.

According to many many reports these guys are a bunch of cowboys and you should consider looking elsewhere for your garden jobs, perhaps even someone based local :) Read more

Charity begins at home…

Fundraising these days doesn’t take a lot of imagination but with charities all over the TV and quite a few charities based in Cardiff North it can be an uphill struggle to get people to donate a couple of quid to your chosen charitable cause. Last weekend however that didn’t put anyone off attending a charity open garden on Pendwyallt Road to raise money for the Childrens cancer charit L.A.T.C.H. Read more
