Bon Voyage for PCSO Christina
September 5, 2010 // 3 CommentsIt was a sad day this past Thursday as it was the last day on duty for our resident PCSO Christina Watkins who is retiring. Many people came to say farewell at the Cuppa with a Coppa event and I think it goes without saying that pretty much everyone in the village must know Chris by face if not by name. She’s been a fantastic asset and has made herself friends with residents young and old, village traders, school staff and pupils and anyone else that happened to cross her path.
Personally, I’m very sad to see Chris go. Her retirement was rumoured for quite a while but I didn’t think it would be so quick. Chris has helped me countless times with this website and is always willing to go one step further when you ask her for any help of information.
I’m sure her local colleagues, PCSO Stuart Cozens and PCSO Emma Bowden will miss her massively. (sorry Stuart, couldn’t resist!)
Chris and her husband are moving to a farmhouse in France to enjoy their well deserved retirement at the end of the month.
If you wish to leave any messages for Christina you can do so with the comments below. She might even get to read them before she heads for France.
