Cuppa with a Copper!
April 13, 2010 // 0 CommentsThere are quite a few shops within the village that are vacant or closed. One that frequently falls under the latter is our very own police station, or shop as I like to call it.
It is supposed to be open every weekday 9am until 4pm but that’s providing there is a member of staff available to man the desk at the shop. Which more often than not, there isn’t.
All is not lost. Every Thursday afternoon between 12 and 2pm you can guarantee the police shop will be open for the “Cuppa with a copper” where you can have an informal chat with the police team about anything you want, served with tea and biscuits for free aswell!
Bill Farnham from Neighbourhood Watch is usually there for any queries in that department.
If you have any non-urgent issues then it’s definately going along and meeting the team face to face and usually gives them a better understanding of the problems you may be raising.
Don’t forget if the shop is closed or you need police assistance that is not for an emergency then you can dial 101 which is open 24 hours.
